Okay /s/, I have a serious question, and I don't think I'd get any kind of constructive answer from /x/, so I'll ask you guys.

I don't know if I can even put this into words properly, but I'll try.

I've seen full body apparitions twice in my life, and every once in a great while I'll see a shadowy one--mostly a dog, but that's not the point. It's just that whenever I see a ghost, it's not like I'm seeing it with my eyes. Sure, I'll have my eyes wide open and staring at what I'm seeing, but it's like I'm using something else to see the ghost. Does that even make any sense?

I was just wondering if anyone else who has had an encounter with a ghost has noticed this. Every time I see a ghost, I wouldn't exactly call it a scary or creepy encounter, so maybe I was better able to analyze my reactions to the situation, but fuck, maybe I'm just batshit insane.

Pic totally unrelated.

i think i sort of have an idea of what youre talking about. i cant explain it any better than you did.

Theory is: ghosts don't always actually appear. Sometimes they simply tweak your visual center in your brain without ever emitting photons.

Well, that would make sense. Sounds a lot like what would happen. Thanks for the straight answer, Anon.

This sounds a lot like something I do, except I do it not in front of me but blocks or hundreds to thousands of miles away, usually through what I'm fairly sure are someone else's eyes. I'm fairly sure it's someone else's eyes because physical objects are represented by symbols if I don't know them to be there. So a room I've been in may be cleaned out, but have things like tables where a desk being used as a table/stand for something is. Same with other people's minds, but that's another story altogether I usually don't want to get into.
