sup /s/ i'm not sure yet that this is an actual ghost, though it sounds like it could be but anyway...
my buddy claims that every time he gets depressed he starts seeing an ethereal silhouette, sort of like a 3D shadow, a dim translucent entity that follows him wherever he goes. he feels that this is a person whom he doesnt know or recognize, but he senses that it might be female.
he doesn't really believe in ghosts, nor has he tried to interact with it, arguing that doing so would make him think he's going insane, but still he sees this thing, it doesnt disappear when he focuses on it, nor does it seem to move or float. in his words, "it's just there". when he leaves a room to enter another, the shadow seems to transpose itself automatically into this new room, always present wherever he is, until he goes to sleep.
his family has had no apparent history of schizophrenia or any other mental illness, and he doesnt want to go to a psychiatrist, because he knows it'll disappear when he gets out of this slump.
has anyone ever heard of similar situations, or have any sort of advice in general?
